Plotting a hill run for Crossfit training.
The main thing I’m going to have problems with is the running and possibly shoulder exercises. I’m gonna admit something right now, I hate running and I suck at it. Honestly I really don’t like driving five miles let alone running it, but you can pretty much guarantee that a run of some sort will be at the event I attend. Secondly I have damaged my rotator cuff two times in the past and sometimes it hurts like hell (Never had it looked at by a doctor though). So I’m not dumb enough to just show up at a sectional looking like an idiot without training hard in advance. My strategy is simple, learn the proper way to do the Crossfit exercises and follow their workouts, if I have the energy and time I’ll add additional running to my schedule. Since running is my nemesis I have decided to map out a course that will be around five miles long. My goal is to first speed walk, later add a little jogging to the walks and eventually run the entire thing. I am really not looking forward to it because I have an idea of where the course should be and it is really steep and plain sucks to just walk it. The course is just a longer version of the hill I called hell hill back when I first started doing hill hikes and it killed me then. The course starts at an elevation of 3823 ft and climbs to 4640 ft in about a ¼ mile. The only positive is that the location is close by and I don’t have to pay to use it. Below is a homemade map of the course I’m going to eventually run on.

See you in the Hills !
